Provides an interesting and dynamic gameplay. It has good optimization and normal graphics. The game remains popular for a number of reasons: The task is trivial – to destroy the enemy team. In competitive games, gamers are divided into two teams – surviving and infected (4 people each). Therefore, the only option to survive and have fun in Left 4 Dead 2 is to act together with your group.Ĭooperative passage and the ability to play with other players on the network provide a completely different gaming experience. They are able to kill a group of players with one spit, if they are clamped in a narrow space. For example, a new kind of especially infected ones is Spitters. Sitting in the corner and fighting off opponents during the Horde invasion is no longer an option, because special infected people can divide the survivors, break your formation or hold the player in the corner, which can lead to the death of the entire group. Staying outdoors, as well as sitting in a corner, becomes dangerous and risky, especially during an attack by the Horde or Tank. Due to the huge number of goals, it is not always possible to eliminate the threat, therefore it is important to constantly move and break through to more advantageous position. The entire gameplay consists of shooting dozens of zombies that stagger around the map or in crowds chasing your group. It is AI “Director” that helps make the game more interesting. This invisible assistant will always throw a few first-aid kits or a defibrillator if the survivors have a low level of health. The computer, depending on the selected complexity and effectiveness of the player, will slightly adjust the map, change the location of objects and some enemies. Beginners should listen to the tips of bots, most of them help to avoid danger.Īnother kind of AI in the game is the “Director”, whose duties include placing the infected on the map, spawn bosses, as well as placing auxiliary items. Bots shoot pretty accurately and rarely find themselves pinched in a corner as well as follow the player and adjust to him. Members of your team from time to time will tell some phrases and jokes to bring the atmosphere in the process of exploring locations. AI will always try to help the player if he is in trouble, sharing a first-aid kit or telling what to do. The game has a cooperative, but the story mode can be completed without friends, then the three remaining places will be taken by bots. At one time, Left 4 Dead was one of the best shooter and its continuation won’t disappoint fans of the original version due to the distribution of roles between AIs.

Depth of Field tries to compensate for missing information but of course, there are situations when this is not enough. But the biggest problem is with no doubt the missing information. This is obvious when you see that the depth buffer can only hold one value per pixel. It’s not possible to blur reflections or objects behind transparent objects. There are common unavoidable problems that all post-processing depth of field solutions have. This is a big advantage, especially with high-quality global illuminated renders. In a lot of situations, you can save hours of render time for just a couple of seconds per frame in post-processing. ‘Depth of Field’ is very fast for what it does. ‘Out of Focus’ effects is a speedy 2d blur and can compete with any existing solution. That way you can quickly get an impression of what settings work out best for your shots. ADVANTAGES OVER OTHER SOLUTIONS:Īpart from its speed and quality, an important advantage of a depth of field post filter is that you are able to test various focus settings easily without re-rendering the whole scene. Move your finger around slightly to see the effect better. Now, look through the blurred region on whatever is behind. To experience this effect try holding your finger in front of your eye so that it is out of focus. But slight distortions help to add to the believability of your comp. Most of the time this effect is not very apparent. When looking through a blurred object the background is distorted due to the blurred object in the foreground. Therefore Lenscare plugins offer the possibility to select parts that are supposed to be brighter and give those parts a brightness boost. Unfortunately, common graphic formats cut off bright parts. In reality, very bright image parts are predominant when being out of focus. The aperture’s form is most apparent in a picture’s highlights. The Out of Focus plugin provides the possibility to completely replace the aperture with a custom image. A wide range of apertures can be simulated. This is important if you want to comp CG elements into real footage or just want your CG shot to fit in with the rest. Therefore they offer the possibility to alter the lens apertures form to simulate several kinds of real cameras. Lenscare offers some features to help to add realism:Ī cameras lens aperture greatly defines the look its blur. GENERAL:Ī camera’s blur looks substantially different from what common blur filters look like. ‘Out of Focus’ also offers background distortion for semi-transparent areas. It is possible to use a custom-drawn lens in addition to the generate able ones. It is a good complement to ‘Depth of Field’ and offers some extra functionality. ‘Out of Focus’ is a fast Version that creates a blur with a constant radius over the complete image.
